Day Zero site is shaping up nicely.

Just arrived in Playa Del Carmen, excited and a bit freaked out to see real people that I know who may remember me.

Valladolid is the most Christmassy little town this side of Cancun!

So I’ve come to the Yucatan Peninsula, the heart of Mayan civilisation, ready to celebrate the end of the Mayan calendar on Friday.

I shall of course be live-blogging my head off as the sun slowly sets on this stage of our earthly existence.

It would all be a bit morbid if there wasn’t so much guacamole everywhere.
